DANTIA TRANSFORMS
THE ORDINARY

Dantia creates opportunity through empowering people and entities to grow & prosper in the Lake Macquarie region.

We are ready to assist you to invest, expand or relocate to Lake Mac.

THE SOLUTION

Undertook economic analysis to determine the key benefits of the project to the city. This data was used to communicate the significant value of the development to the region.

Facilitated early introductions to strategic planners in Lake Macquarie City Council. This allowed BlackRock to be clear from the early conceptplanning phase on the issues the project needed address and to find sustainable social and environmental solutions to address the needs and expectations of all stakeholders. It also provided the opportunity to communicate the value of the project to the region and its alignment with Council’s strategic objectives. Establishing early common ground allowed for collaborative relationships.

Coordinated presentations to key stakeholders including those in the tourism industry and elected council representatives. This encouraged a shared vision and resulted in authentic interest in the project and its potential success in terms of diversification, adaptive reuse of mining land, job creation and increased visitation to the region.

Assisted in the development of a community engagement strategy, identifying key community leaders, influences and residents in the local area. This early consultation helped build community engagement and allowed for clear communication of the potential opportunities and challenges the project may have faced.

Provided letters of support and presented to the Joint Regional Planning Panel to highlight the significance of the project and benefits for the community now and into the future.

Worked with current landowners to aid in generating confidence in the land sale. We linked the landowners to the Department of Planning, Industry and Environment to help with transitioning the land use from a mining lease to alternate use that provide employment and community infrastructure.

TONY PALMER

Managing Director, BlackRock Motor Park

We couldn’t have come this far without Dantia. Their contacts, project management approach and prioritisation of tasks has been critical to driving the project forward. They’ve made the essential calls to key people that I wouldn’t have been able to make and knocked down barriers that I didn’t think we would get through.

BEAM TO HOST FREE SAFE ACADEMY AHEAD OF LAUNCH IN LAKE MACQUARIE

Media Release.

Beam will host a Beam Safe Academy on Saturday 4 June to teach e-mobility safety

The Beam Safe Academy will incorporate a briefing guide for new riders, an interactive safety quiz, and a free real-world training course

[1 June 2022] Leading micro-mobility company Beam will host a real-world training course in Lake Macquarie on Saturday 4 June to teach the local community about e-mobility safety

The Beam Safe Academy incorporates a briefing guide for new riders, an interactive safety quiz and a free training course for riders to test out their riding skills in a supportive environment.

The Beam Safe Academy program has been developed in partnership with national safety experts Ascent Training Services, and forms part of Beam’s community engagement efforts to educate riders on local riding rules and safe handling of e-mobility vehicles.

Riders will learn safe operating and manoeuvring skills, such as how to turn, brake and signal to other riders and pedestrians. All participants also receive $5 in free ride credit.

Beam riders can also get five minutes of free ride time for completing the in-app Beam Safety Quiz, featuring education of New South Wales’ riding rules.

The Beam Safe Academy form part of Beam’s major safety education program, as Beam works alongside the local Councils and police authorities to enforce the riding rules.

Upon launch, Beam’s education and enforcement program will also include:

A digital ‘Ride Kind’ media campaign running from launch week, featuring instructions on how to park and ride safely in Lake Macquarie

Beam Safety Ambassadors in Lake Mac to patrol high-traffic areas daily, promoting safe riding and parking

A three-strikes policy, with riders facing suspension for bad riding and parking offences. Those caught riding dangerously or breaking the law face permanent bans.

Beam General Manager ANZ Tom Cooper said:

“We’re in the business of making the lives of Lake Mac dwellers better, not risk them. So we always have safety at the forefront, and at Beam, safety is more than ensuring a rider has a functioning vehicle that meets safety requirements.

“We work hard to ensure every Beam user is always mindful of the riding environment, operates their vehicle under control at all times, and uses a city’s shared spaces well.

“Using a combination of hardware, software, and real world education, we seek to make cities safer – and more enjoyable – for all.

“The Beam Safe Academy is Australia’s leading real-world e-mobility training program, which we run regularly in all cities we operate in.

“We think it’s important that riders have the opportunity to learn safety tips and test their skills on the course, because even the safest vehicle requires a safer

rider.”

Dantia CEO Joshua Sattler said:

“This is a fun, educational way for the community to try the e-bikes and ask questions about the use of the e-bikes and where and how they can be used.”

“We encourage everyone to come along and try the e-bikes. A lot of what happens in this trial will depend on the Lake Mac community. We will be led by their feedback.”
